Executive Biographies

 

Frances Jarvis: Managing Director, MHz
	Frances has worked with MHz since the company’s launch in 1982 and became a member of the Board of Directors at MHz in 1992. She has a wealth of experience gained from three decades in the broadcast arena with her expertise seen from a commercial, legal, operational and marketing perspective. She returned to MHz at the beginning of 2010 and is steering the company’s continued growth and success in the international systems integration arena.

Stephen Burgess: Technical Director, MHz
	Steve is a Chartered Engineer with 27 years' experience in the broadcast industry, including 15 years working in the field of systems integration.  Steve's wide experience of managing broadcast projects ranges from small outside broadcast vehicles to multi-million pound television and radio stations.  He is currently Technical Director of MHz, and is responsible for all the company's technical operations.

Steve Sheppard    : Chief Financial Officer, MHz
	Joined MHz in 2008, Steve brings with him a wealth of experience commercial and financial management of high-tech and high growth manufacturing businesses. Professionally qualified accountant who’s worked in large corporate as well as small companies, both within UK and Europe he has managed everything from fund raising through to financial and operational management.

Robert Stopford: Sales Director, MHz
	Robert Stopford joined MHz as Sales Director in 2008. He is responsible for growing MHz’s business with a particular focus on expanding the company’s reach into the playout asset management and tape enviroment. Robert has over two decades of experience, most recently at Omnibus Systems, where he was responsible for delivering HD file-based workflow solutions to international media companies. He has a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained from supporting broadcaster’s migrating to tapeless environments.

Don Wilson: Head of Projects, MHz
	Don heads the projects group. He has 30 years' experience in the Broadcasting Industry and a wide experience of both technical and operational requirements. He spent 10 years at the Bophuthatswana Broadcasting Corporation in South Africa (with four years as Chief Engineer) before joining MHz as a Freelance Engineer in 1994 and then permanently in 1995. Don has managed some of MHz’s most prestigious projects, including the new eTV 24-hour News Channel in Johannesburg.

Frederik Schodts: Head of Proposals, MHz
	Frederik heads up the proposals team, responsible for overseeing all of the pre-sales operations and the procurement of equipment for all client installations. He has over ten years of experience in the broadcast and IT industry, managing pre-sales, systems architecture and project consultancy for Systems Integration projects in Europe and Africa.

Stephen Pumple, MEng., MBA: AZCAR Technologies Inc. Chairman & CEO
	Founder of AZCAR Technologies Incorporated, Stephen has over three decades of hands-on broadcast design and implementation experience acquired in many parts of the world, and continues to guide and direct the company's overall operations. Stephen is a Fellow of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), a member of the Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers (AFCEE), an author in several trade publications and a speaker at industry conferences.

Gavin Schutz: President AZCAR Technologies, Executive Vice President AZCAR Media Strategies
	Gavin has managed emerging technologies from both operating and engineering perspectives, furthering the strategic and tactical business goals of rapidly growing media companies.  Before joining AZCAR, he was the Executive Vice President, CTO and CIO of Ascent Media Group. Gavin is a past President, Fellow and the current Engineering Vice President of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), and an Honorary Fellow of the British Moving Imaging Society (BKSTS). He has three patents, and has published numerous articles and papers.
